Introduction to Conceptual Photography

This course is an opportunity for students to enhance their approach to photography through the consideration of thematic and conceptual frameworks. Students will develop a project starting from an idea and leading to a portfolio, publication or exhibition. The course consists of concept-based, digital photographic assignments, supported by lectures, discussions, slide presentations and critiques. Students must have access to a digital SLR or mirrorless camera.

This course is offered in partnership with OCAD University to offer a wide range of courses for enhancing your career expertise in web, design, photography, analytics, and technology.


Working with your OCAD U account

As a student, you will receive an OCAD U user account, which will grant you access to the OCAD U learning management system, called Canvas. Your Canvas account will be enabled one week prior to the start date of your course.

Course Requirements

Students are responsible for purchasing their own supplies. Regular access to a computer with a webcam and microphone, high speed broadband internet connection is required. This course is a synchronous online course. Students must attend the online sessions to participate. Please check the course schedule before enrolling.
