Schedule of Events (2024)

Cohort Group Photos
Time:  3:00 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Location:  UNBC Northeast Campus

Students will gown in the UNBC student lounge and photos will be taken behind campus on the edge of the Fish Creek Community Forest. Student will be responsible for their own transportation from the UNBC campus to the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre.

Procession and Northeast Campus Celebration
Time:  5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

FAQ

When do I get an invitation for the Northeast Graduate Campus Celebration?
An email invitation will be sent to all graduands in April.

How do I get the Schedule of Events?
The schedule of events is listed at the top of this page.  Each graduand will receive an email with details of the Northeast Graduate Campus Celebration.  

As a guest, who do I contact to get information on the Class Northeast Graduate Campus Celebration?
Please ask your graduand.  In accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy regulations we are not permitted to give out personal information about any students.

What if I, as a guest, have access/mobility needs and require assistance/seating accommodations?  Who do I contact?
Please have your graduand contact north-east@unbc.ca to discuss requested accommodations.

When should guests arrive at the Ceremony to get a good seat?
Guests are permitted to arrive 30 minutes prior to the Ceremony.  There are no assigned seats for guests.  There will be UNBC staff inside the theatre to give out programs.

Can I take photos during the Ceremony?
Photos are not permitted during the Ceremony.  Graduates can take photos with their friends and family after the Ceremony has ended.

How can I get Grad Photos taken?
Photo sessions are scheduled for May 8th and 9th at Photography by Hart's studio. Please book directly with Photography by Hart. The sessions will be 20-minutes in length and include access to regalia. Graduands are welcome to bring props to customize their photos.
