Completing the online RSVP is mandatory for all 2021 grads so that the Convocation Office can collect the mailing address information needed to send out your parchment in June, the pronunciation of your name, and whether you plan on participating in the ceremony. Step by step instructions can be found on the Checklist page (#3 Complete the Online RSVP).
We highly encourage you to upload content to personalize your StageClip. The 2021 Student Focus Group really wants to see more grad content in the ceremony, and this is your opportunity to do that! Step by step instructions can be found on the Checklist page (#5 Upload content to StageClip).
Last year our grad survey revealed that 11% of students regretted not uploading content, and 27% were somewhat disappointed. Don't miss your opportunity to be a part of the ceremony.
Since the Virtual Convocation is online, participation in graduation can be done in various ways:
- Share your grad story
- Rent regalia and/or book a grad photo session
- Use #UNBCgrad2021 to post pictures of you in regalia with your parchment, etc. on social media
- Watch the premiere of your ceremony on June 25 and post comments in the live chat
Details on how to upload content to StageClip and how to share your grad story will be coming in the next few months so keep checking your UNBC email.
Example of Grad Clip coming soon!
The Virtual Convocation ceremonies are pre-recorded and will premiere online June 25 and then they will be available to view on demand at any time.
Graduands will receive an email prior to Convocation letting them know which ceremony they are in, and where to download their graduation clip.
Upon completion of your graduation and Convocation ceremonies you will receive a survey to your UNBC email. This gives us the opportunity to get your feedback on the Convocation experience and helps us plan for future events.
