Parchment Information

Parchment Mailing

The Office of the Registrar can courier parchments to graduates.  Payment of the appropriate parchment courier fee, and all previous outstanding fees must be paid in advance. 

Degree parchments will be sent out the second week of June to students who requested courier delivery via the Convocation RSVP, paid the delivery fee, and updated their address with the Registrar’s Office or through Student Online Services. If you did not complete the RSVP and would like your parchment delivered, please contact us via email at credentials@unbc.ca.

Delivery times vary depending on the mailing address, so please give at least two weeks for arrival.

  • $20.00 CAD within BC
  • $30.00 CAD within Canada
  • $55.00 CAD International (including United States)

Parchment Pick Up

Pick up will be via the Office of the Registrar.

Complete a Parchment Pickup Letter of Authorization and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.  If you need someone else to pick-up your parchment, please ensure they know to bring their ID as it will be required by your designate.  Please ensure you double-check that you have filled out the Parchment Pickup Letter of Authorization correctly as it will not be processed unless you follow the instructions.

We will not be able to forward parchments to any graduates who have outstanding fees. You are responsible to confirm that all outstanding fees are paid by contacting the Cashier’s Office at cashier@unbc.ca or 250-960-5631.


Certified Copies

UNBC issues only ONE parchment to each graduate. Upon request, the Office of the Registrar will certify a “True Copy” of a parchment for submission to an employer or a foreign government.

If you require a certified copy of your parchment, please contact the Office of the Registrar. You must fill out the Certified True Copy form and submit along with corresponding fee.
