ULEAD – Leadership Pathways at UNBC
At UNBC, we are all Timberwolves. UNBC Timberwolves personify leadership. Leadership on the court, on the pitch, in the classroom and the local community.
But leadership is not a position; it’s a process.
The ULEAD – Leadership Pathways program at UNBC allows students the chance to hone their leadership skills by creating a customized, self-paced program comprised of experiential learning opportunities, including workshops, training, activities, event planning and mentorship.
The ULEAD program will introduce you to leadership and community building skills that are highly attractive to future employers, and will to set you up for success as an active and engaged citizen in the UNBC and Prince George community. Through this transformation, we hope you feel empowered to utilize these leadership skills to foster purposeful experiences of your own in the community.
Get Involved With ULEAD
All UNBC students are encouraged to get involved with the ULEAD – Leadership Pathways program. There are a number of self-paced opportunities for you to explore:
Workshops and Training Opportunities
Over the course of the academic year, there will be a range of workshops offered to help you develop your leadership skills.
Event Planning & Management
Do you have an event you want to plan for your Student-Led Organization (SLO)? Are you part of a community group that wants to hold a student workshop?
As part of the ULEAD program, we have opened up the opportunity for students to run their own events, with logistical and financial support from UNBC Student Life. To get started, complete the ULEAD Event Proposal and submit to Dakota.
If you have any questions or want to chat about potential events reach out to Dakota Den Duyf, Student Life Coordinator in the Student Life Office or at Dakota.denduyf@unbc.ca
