Scholarship amount: $10,000 towards the Master of Engineering Integrated Wood Design program at UNBC
Eligibility: Open to individuals and two-person teams. 
Submission deadline: May 20, 2022
Winners announcement: June 15, 2022
Eligibility: Available to individuals or teams of two who are accepted to the Master of Engineering Integrated Wood Design program

The winner(s) of the Wood Innovation Student Award 2022, once accepted to the Master of Engineering Integrated Wood Design program, will receive the value of the prize applied to their student account(s). In the event that the winner is a team of two, the award will be split.  

Submission content

  • One page with descriptive text (English only) explaining your concept project in the most efficient manner. (PDF file only)
  • One page with plans and layouts of the concept project scaled adequately to ensure reading and comprehension of the plans. (PDF file only)
  • Transcripts
  • Resume

General Requirements

Participants are required to be eligible to apply for the program Master of Engineering in Integrated Wood Design, September 2022 intake.

Selection Criteria

Projects will be awarded for their innovation, utilization of Wood and Engineered Wood Products, uniqueness of the project, sustainability, environmental impact, and viability of the project. 

The Jury will be composed of faculty members, who will act in the best impartial manner and will commit sufficient time and energy to the deliberations process. 

The Jury retains the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the program requirements, that presents a conflict of interest, or is suspected of Plagiarism.
