The Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous men and boys who are standing up against violence toward women and children. Over the years it has grown into a national campaign to engage all Canadians, with over 1,000 participating communities and organizations across the country. In addition to distributing the Moose Hide pins, the Campaign hosts both Regional and National Gatherings which include a Day of Fasting.
People of all ages, backgrounds, and gender identities are welcome to attend Moose Hide Campaign events.
 

Over the past three years, UNBC has hosted the largest Regional Moose Hide Campaign Gathering outside of the Provincial Gathering in Victoria, with over 300 attendees on campus in 2020. We've come together each year to re-commit in our pledge to see an end to violence toward women and children. To remember those we have lost. To share our stories and struggles. To grow closer through the experience of fasting and ceremony. To motivate one and other with all we have managed to achieve.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Moose Hide Campaign has made the decision that for the first time, the event this year will be fully virtual. At UNBC, we will be joining the the combined national and provincial gatherings online on February 11th. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
