Dr. Naowarat CheepthamRecently, BC has experienced more frequent extreme weather patterns and for the past two years, the COVID-19 pandemic has deeply impacted the world. This talk will focus on the continued effort to better understand the diversity of western Canada cave and non-cave microorganisms, their natural/adapted roles and potentials in our lives in particular in the realm of the “One Health” concept.  Additionally, past, current and future research activities in Cheeptham’s cave microbiology laboratory at TRU will be presented.
