NSERC Alliance Consortia Quantum Grants (Continuous Intake until October 16)

Date:
Monday, October 16, 2023 (All day)

The Alliance Consortia Quantum grants support the development of large-scale domestic research collaborations in quantum science and technology by enhancing synergy across Canada's regional quantum research and innovation hubs, with the additional aim to connect with industrial applications and government needs. These grants enable collaborations between university researchers and partner organizations from the private, public or not-for-profit sectors.

Your proposal may address any challenges in quantum science, but its thrust must support the development of any of the following areas of quantum technologies:

  • quantum algorithms/encryption, including post-quantum cryptography
  • quantum communications
  • quantum computing
  • quantum materials
  • quantum sensing

NSERC will cover 100% of the project's eligible costs, but you must have at least one partner organization (in the private, public or not-for-profit sector) whose cash contributions would be recognized for cost sharing, had there been any required.

Application deadline: Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until October 16, 2023 @ 5:00 pm PT. Allow at least 24 weeks for the review process, although some reviews may require additional time.

Applications must be received in the Office of Research and Innovation a minimum of 5 business days in advance of submission to the funding agency. Applications must be submitted to the Office of Research and Innovation via Romeo. Please allow enough time for Chair and Dean Approval.
