Open House at Quesnel River Research Centre (QRRC)

Open House, September 30, 2023 at 10am
UNBC's Quesnel River Research Centre in Likely, BC will host an Open House.
The event will include presentations by researchers from UNBC, UBC, and Fisheries and Oceans Canada who have been investigating the environmental impacts of the Mount Polley mine tailings released into Quesnel Lake in 2014. Information on new research projects underway at the QRRC will also be presented. Q & A sessions will accompany the talks.
There will also be information provided about the Chinook salmon hatchery at the QRRC and the tremendous efforts by local, provincial and federal groups to rebuild their vulnerable stocks.
Presentations will begin at 10am and will be followed by lunch. Travel details available at QRRC.
The QRRC is located at 6851 Likely Road, Likely, BC.
