Awards and Financial Aid helps students obtain the funds necessary to finance their UNBC education and to provide educational budgeting services. Funds may be obtained from a variety of sources, including government and bank loans, private, corporate, and public scholarships and bursaries, and UNBC awards.

Annual award competition for 2024 - 2025 academic year - Closed

The annual 2024-2025 award competition for the 2024-2025 academic year is now closed and applications are no longer being accepted.

Did you miss the deadline to apply?  You will still have an opportunity to apply for awards during our Fall Awards competition.  The Fall Awards applications will open on September 15, 2024.

Grade 12/new undergraduate students recommended award applications: 

  • Early Entrance Award & Leadership Awards (new undergraduates): Closed - Recipients notified via email as of February 16th.
  • Entrance Awards: Deadline Apr 1st
  • General Awards:  Deadline Apr 1st

New graduate/doctoral students recommended award applications:

  • Master's Doctoral Level Awards: Deadline Apr 1st
  • General Awards: Deadline Apr 1st

Continuing undergraduate and graduate/doctoral award students:

UNBC students already in-course (i.e. students continuing in their undergraduate, graduate/doctoral programs) are able to apply using the myUNBC Student Online Services portal once the competition opens.
