University Way is closed to vehicle traffic.

University Way is closed to motorists between Foothills Boulevard and the entrance to UNBC. The City of Prince George has advised the closure is required for the resurfacing of the Shane Creek bridge deck.

During construction, vehicle access to the Prince George campus will be limited to Tyner Boulevard.

Due to the identification of additional deficiencies by the City of Prince George, there is no longer a confirmed end date for the project. The City anticipates the road will be closed for two to four weeks beyond the initial end date of Sept. 15.

The City of Prince George website has more information on the closure.

University Way access for pedestrians, cyclists and scooter riders will be available during the closure up to the pathways near the Rotary Lookout. Pedestrians and cyclists should remain on the sidewalks and bike lanes and be aware of the active work site.

Transit Information

Transit services will be revised during the closure, including a detour for Route 15 and schedule changes for routes 15, 16 and 19.

BC Transit has more information on the detour and revised service schedules.
