Membership Terms and Conditions

Please review the Membership Terms and Conditions for holds and cancellations below before proceeding with your request.


NSC Membership Holds

Account Balance

Outstanding amounts and fees must be paid prior to Hold Requests being processed.  This includes any fees incurred after the request/form is submitted.

Hold requests

Hold requests are submitted by the online request form, or by in person forms generated at the front desk.  Verbal instructions and phone calls are not accepted.

Full months only

Holds are processed in full months; months, 28 - 31 days, from the Start Hold Request date. Partial month holds are not permitted.

Hold Limit

Holds are limited to a maximum of three months per calendar year - consecutive or non-consecutive.

No backdating Hold requests

Consideration may be given for medical reasons with a valid doctor's note and within two months of the date the dues/payment(s) were charged; up to a maximum refund of two months could apply.

Registered Program Fees

Non-member Registered Program fees apply after cancellation date.  Please notify the NSC if you will have an active membership when your registered program starts, the non-member rate may be adjusted to the member rate.

Parking permits

Paid parking is enforced 24/7 and members are responsible for citations if an expired or invalid parking permit is used.

Hold terms and conditions

Holds for Monthly Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Memberships - monthly dues/payments paid from a bank account.

  1. Requests must be submitted by the 15th of the month prior to the month I wish to be on hold.
  2. If my request is submitted after the 15th of the month, my next monthly dues will be charged, the number of months and my Start Hold Request date will be adjusted, my End Hold Request date will NOT be adjusted.
  3. It is my responsibility to check my monthly bank statement to ensure dues/payments are not charged during the hold period.
  4. Membership monthly dues will automatically resume/be charged, after the End Hold Request Date.
  5. A Return from Hold Early Fee will apply if I wish to activate my membership prior to the End Hold Request Date.
  6. LOCKER RENTALS CANNOT BE PLACED ON HOLD, monthly rental fees will continue to be charged during my hold period.

Hold for Pre-Paid in Full (PIF) Memberships - - monthly dues pre-paid in full at the time of membership sign up.

  1. The number of full months on hold will be extended on my membership expiry date, in full months.
  2. Assumption of risk, agreement to abide by rules of safety, informed consent, and terms of conditions of Household Agreement(s) will apply to extended expiry dates.
  3. Hold requests are not backdated. Consideration may be given for medical reasons, if a valid doctor's note is provided within two months of the date the dues/payment(s) were charged; up to a maximum refund of two months could apply.
  4. I will bring in my parking permit(s) to have the expiry date(s) updated. I am responsible for citations if an expired parking permit is used.
  5. A Return from Hold Early Fee will apply if I wish to activate my membership prior to the End Hold Request Date.

Please Note: All Membership Hold Requests are pending NSC final approval of account details.

Hold details, monthly dues and membership expiry date will be adjusted, taking into consideration member accounts and the hold details listed above.

NSC Membership Cancellation Request

Account Balance

Cancellation requests

Cancellation requests are submitted by the online request form, or by in person forms generated at the front desk.  Verbal instructions and phone calls are not accepted.

Membership Commitment

Cancellations can be processed after three (3) months dues/payments have been made, per membership.

No backdating Cancellation requests

Consideration may be given for medical reasons with a valid doctor's note and within two months of the date the dues/payment(s) were charged; up to a maximum refund of two months could apply.  

Registered Program Fees

Non-member Registered Program fees apply after cancellation date.  Please notify the NSC if you will have an active membership when your registered program starts, the non-member rate may be adjusted to the member rate.

Parking permits

Paid parking is enforced 24/7 and members are responsible for citations if an expired or invalid parking permit is used.  A $10.00 Admin fee will apply until valid parking permits are returned: $10 per parking permit.

Other household family memberships

Other household family memberships (eg. Spouse, child) may be affected, they may have to sign up for a new membership; regular types and rates apply.

CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Cancellations for Monthly Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Memberships – monthly dues/payments paid from a bank account.

  1. Requests must be submitted by the 15th of the month prior to the month I wish to cancel; expiry date will be on the last date of the month.
  2. If my request is submitted after the 15th of the month, my next monthly dues will be charged, my cancellation/expiry date will be adjusted accordingly.
  3. It is my responsibility to check my monthly bank statement to ensure dues/payments are not charged after my cancellation date.
  4. Banking information will not be available for future membership renewals, I will need to provide banking information when I renew or sign up later.

Cancellations for Pre-Paid in Full (PIF) Memberships - monthly dues pre-paid in full at the time of membership sign up.

Cancellation dates are dependent on membership sign up/start dates. Eg. if a membership start date is the 20th of the month, the pass will be cancelled/expiry on the 20th of the applicable month to cancel.

  1. Requests are accepted any time before membership expiry dates, refunds only apply in full month to expiry dates.
  2. Applicable refunds may take 3-4 weeks to process.

Pre-authorized debit payments are taken monthly from your bank account. Monthly membership hold requests must be placed by the 15th of the month prior for the pre-authorized payment to be stopped. Paid-in-full memberships are 6 to 12 months in duration.
You may place your membership on hold for up to 3 months. If your membership has already been on hold within the year, your request may be shortened in duration or denied.
