Susan Janet Robertson Prize

Dr. Susan RobertsonThis award has been established in memory of Susan Janet Robertson (UNBC alumna, MSc 2003; PhD 2008), whose life and career were cut short by Hereditary Haemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) in 2019. Susan’s interests in science and research were numerous but she was especially fascinated by the complexities of microbial ecology of forest soils and the human microbiome. Her family, friends and colleagues have chosen to remember her and her work by establishing an undergraduate student research prize.

Dr. Susan Robertson Undergraduate Thesis Prize ($1000). Awarded for the best thesis presented by an undergraduate student enrolled in NRES 430 or ENSC 430 at the annual undergraduate thesis event organized by the Natural Resources and Environmental Studies Institute (NRESi), normally  at the end of each Winter (January) semester.
