Beaumont, Dr. Sherry

Biography
Dr. Beaumont has been a faculty member in the UNBC Department of Psychology since 1994 and is currently a Full Professor with expertise in developmental, positive, and existential psychology. She was one of the first Canadian university professors to develop an undergraduate course in positive psychology over 15 years ago, and she continues to be one of the few professors in Canada who regularly teaches both introductory and advanced courses in positive psychology. Dr. Beaumont’s research and publications focus on the roles of contemplative and expressive processes, including art therapy, in the development of self-identity, personal myth, wisdom, and spirituality.
