Athena Gordon is a Student Success Coordinator at the UNBC South-Central Campus in Quesnel, BC. She is dedicated to uplifting student voices and connecting students to resources to promote holistic development. Prior to moving to Canada in August 2021, she worked as an educator in the greater Albuquerque metropolitan area in New Mexico, USA, for three years and advocated for data-driven reflection in the classroom as a Teach for America New Mexico 2018 corps member. Athena graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, USA, in May 2018 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and English (with an emphasis in nonfiction writing). She served as a university student leader in multiple student affairs departments, including residential life, as well as participated in many university committees. In her free time, Athena enjoys cooking with plant-based ingredients, reading memoirs, and taking long hikes with her dog, Ella.
