Biography

Gwen Keeler has been a faculty member in the School of Nursing since 2011. She received a degree in Anthropology from UVIC and her nursing degree from BCIT. Her areas of interest include Emergency Nursing and Acute Care Adult Nursing. Within her current teaching commitment she has the opportunity to continue clinical practice. This opportunity allows for continued adoption of up to date practices which can then be translated into the classroom. Bringing together clinical practice, education and now, research provides an opportunity to work within a patient and family centered model of care. More recently she is in the final stages of her MScN Thesis with a focus on the experiences of nursing working in Emergency Departments.
