Biography

Dr. Mohammad Kamali is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Northern British Columbia. Mohammad received his PhD in civil engineering (construction management) from the University of British Columbia, after earning a MASc from Tarbiat Modares University and a BASc form Sharif University of Technology, Iran. His research interests lie in sustainable built environment, green and sustainable construction, life cycle thinking and assessment, decision making processes, off-site (modular) construction, and energy efficiency in buildings.

Prior to joining UNBC, Mohammad was a research engineer and a postdoctoral research fellow at UBC. He has actively been involved in different research and collaborative industrial projects such as leading the UBC research team in the Wilden Living Lab projects. As an instructor at UBC and Okanagan College, he also gained an extensive teaching experience in the fields of civil engineering and sustainable construction.
