Field Safety Orientation Training
UNBC recommends that faculty, staff and students conducting or participating in outdoor/ wilderness or community-based field work, studies or research complete the field safety training course prior to commencement of any field work.
The field safety training course involves watching a series of videos on field safety and preparation. The online self-enrolment course available through Moodle and may be completed at any time. If you have questions concerning the online course, please email email@example.com
In-person Field Safety Orienteering Course - this course is offered with collaboration from our Faculty experts and as scheduling permits. Notification of upcoming registration opportunities will be sent by Announce Message and will be shown on the Field Safety web page.

These documents are compilations of advice and information on particular safety issues in conducting field work, both in a wilderness and a community-based research setting.
Project Risk Assessments for all fieldwork are to be submitted to the Safety Office for review with the Office of Research.
