Quotes:
UNBC’s Dan Goodey

On the matchup with UBC…
“We always want to earn points, and recently we have been able to close the gap in class between UBC and us. It should be two good games, and we are in good position to take points off them.”

On the Thunderbirds’ #2 National ranking…
“You always want to test yourself against the best teams. UBC coming up here is always exciting, so all the boys are up for it, and it should be a great fight.”

On UBC’s strengths…
“They’re good up front. Quick, pacey, skillful players out wide and up front, so we are obviously looking to stop them from getting so many chances. We like to keep the ball as well, so it should be a good matchup of two teams that like to keep the ball on the deck.”

On the Timberwolves’ goal-scoring…
“Every game we have played this year, we are creating these chances to score goals, which is key for us. I think it’s a matter of time before we are putting multiple goals in the back of the net.”

On the TWolves’ push for the Canada West postseason…
“These next three weekends are crucial to move towards the goal of making playoffs. We are just looking to take points one game at a time, and as long as we put the performances in, I don’t see any reason why we can’t do it.”
