Quotes:
UNBC’s Anthony Preston

On learning from opening weekend…
“We didn’t get the result we wanted, but the team spirit was good throughout the game. I think we are all on the same page. Realistically, we created chances and were solid for almost the whole game defensively. We are confident we can get the results we want, as long as clean up on the back end and are more clinical at the front end.”

On the importance of this weekend’s games…
“Victoria is as big a rival, if not more (than TWU). We really need to get results this weekend, at all costs. If we don’t we are really putting ourselves in a tough position going forward.”

On the Vikes…
“With UVic, I think we will be able to control the game more, so really it is a matter of not getting caught out in transition. They have some talented center backs, so we have to be patient and look for the right moments to attack. And not giving away too many fouls in our end, because I think they could make us pay on set pieces.”

On playing at Masich Place…

“The crowd was great for the first weekend. There was lots of energy, so hopefully we can carry that momentum forward and use it to attack with pace. Really just have that confidence that everyone is behind us.”
