UNBC Medical Clinic staff is available Monday to Friday, however, our door will remain locked.
To book an appointment or to speak with the staff, please call us at 250-960-6370. We will not be offering walk-in appointments at this time.
Most appointments will be offered by phone or video. In-person visits will be offered on a case by case basis.
If you are concerned that you may be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please STAY HOME and call our clinic at 250-960-6370 during our regular hours or call the Northern Health COVID-19 phone line at 1-844-645-7811 or the nurse line at 811.
Please do not attend the Emergency Room at UHNBC unless it is a true Emergency.
The UNBC Health Services Medical Clinic is available to support all students at the Prince George campus. The clinic consists of: One (1) Medical Office Assistant, two (2) registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and a Family Practice Physician. We are here to help students manage illness and health concerns, obtain information on relevant health and lifestyle topics, engage in health promotion, and manage healthy lifestyle changes during their university experience.

- Call the office to schedule a pre-booked appointment
- Our receptionist will ask for the nature of your visit to ensure enough time is booked
- Bring your health card, student card, and any pre-existing medical documentation to appointments

UNBC Student Extended Health Plan
Student Extended Health Benefits help cover costs of pharmacy medications, dental, and other services. This is part of student fees for UNBC students who do not opt-out of the plan. Benefits are through Sunlife's I Have a Plan. For more information:
International Student's Health Insurance and BC Medical Services Plan (MSP)
UNBC requires that all students have health insurance while studying. All International students will be automatically enrolled in health insurance. This insurance is mandatory for all new international students.
If English is not your first language, translation services are available by phone with the Provincial Health Services Authority.
