The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Program at the rank of Assistant Professor, with a proposed starting date of July 1st, 2024. Applications from candidates with research programs in Organic Chemistry specializing in natural product synthesis will be given priority; however, strong candidates in other areas of Organic Chemistry, particularly those complementing other research areas at UNBC, will be considered. The successful candidate must have completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry and have demonstrated an ability to do high quality research. Demonstrated excellence in teaching or the capacity to do so is also required. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an active externally funded research program and to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
