HIST 333: History of Fashion

This course introduces students to how fashion has been used in the construction of gendered identities in different geographical and historical locations. It will demonstrate to students what clothing can tell us about the history of empire, nation-building, protect, revolution, class, race, gender, sexuality, and identity.

Preferred qualifications for this position are an MA in History or equivalent degree. The candidate should also have experience teaching the history of fashion.
