Accomplishments

Lead Developer and Organizer - Spearheaded implementation of a Vancouver site UNBC Bachelor of Social Work cohort (2013-2020). In the 2013-2014 academic year, with the support of Dawn Hemingway, the Chair of the School of Social Work, Dean Blanca Schorcht, and upper administration, I voluntarily helped to establish and organize for a UNBC BSW Vancouver cohort. This included meeting with Langara administration and the Langara SSWK faculty, establishing an agreement, creating a preliminary budget, liaising with Langara and UNBC to advertise through postering.

Vancouver Field Coordinator - Established and built alliances (2014-current) with Vancouver based social services agencies, Health Authorities, and Ministry of Children and Family Development. I also organized 3rd year & 4th year BSW practicums for Vancouver cohort.

Member of Leadership Team for Centre for Women’s Health Research - Women North Network / Northern FIRE Researcher (2010-present). The leadership team co-supervised 1 undergraduate CIHR award recipient in 2014, 2 undergraduate CIHR award recipients in 2013 and 1 graduate student research assistant in 2013.
