Canadian Climate Institute Call for submissions: Indigenous Perspectives, 2023 series

Date:
Wednesday, October 19, 2022 (All day)

The Canadian Climate Institute, in partnership with the Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources (CIER), has announced a Call for submissions: Indigenous Perspectives, 2023 series. Interested Indigenous researchers, journalists, and knowledge holders are invited to propose case studies that advance climate policy from an Indigenous perspective. The resulting case studies will be published in 2023 as the Institute’s third annual series of publications showcasing Indigenous responses to climate change.

Applications can either be related to work that is underway (connected to a PhD or post-doc, for example) or constitute original research. Applications will be evaluated by a competitive process and up to four applicants will be selected to receive a research stipend of $15,000.

While the call is open to a wide range of potential case study topics within these parameters, the Institute is particularly interested in case studies that align with current research underway at the Institute (see funding description for details).

Application deadline: October 19, 2022 @ 2:00 pm PT

Applications must be received in the Office of Research and Innovation a minimum of 5 business days in advance of the application deadline. Applications must be submitted to the Office of Research and Innovation via ROMEO. Please allow enough time for Chair and Dean approval.
