In one month, BC’s distributed medical education program will begin with students in Prince George and Victoria. Classes will start on January 10.

In anticipation of the start of classes for the Northern Medical Program, the local media will have an opportunity to tour the new Northern Health Sciences Centre and experience what it will be like to be a student in the new program.

All media are invited to tour the new medical building with Dave Snadden, the head of the Northern Medical Program. In addition to a tour of the building’s major facilities, there will be a demonstration of the state-of-the-art technology that will link medical students at all three sites: Vancouver, Prince George, and Victoria. As part of the tour, two local organizations will also be announcing contributions totaling just over $100,000 to the Northern Medical Programs Trust fundraising campaign.
