Council Member Agreement

Commitment

Most Council members will devote an average of 6-8 hours per month during the three-year term. Council members are expected to participate in the majority of Council meetings, generally held every 2nd month. Council members may also serve on ad-hoc committees as needed and are encouraged to attend Alumni and University-related events.

Responsibility

Council members are responsible for providing an alumni perspective to University decision-making processes and contribute towards providing feedback to the University on enriching the lives of its alumni, building an active and engaged alumni community, and advancing UNBC’s excellence and reputation. Members are expected to be active participants in discussion and debate during meetings, including proposals brought forward or decisions that need to be made. UNBC also looks to the Council to help inform long-range objectives and strategic plans for student and alumni engagement.
