They are ubiquitous in offices, homes and public places. Inspirational messages about overcoming obstacles, challenging fears, breaking through barriers. Often they are plastered on posters featuring a kite, or a cute animal or maybe someone hanging off a cliff.

Teaching Assistant Workshops

The purpose of the Teaching Assistant workshop is to provide tips and techniques for TAs in the classroom; collect strategies for interacting with students and managing the diverse needs of students in the classroom; and to identify the rights, roles, and responsibilities of a TA at UNBC. This workshop is an excellent starting point for new TAs, or as a refresher for those wishing to brush-up on their teaching at the beginning of a new semester.

This panel is specifically targeted at new Teaching Assistants who feel under-prepared to mark for a new course; however, they are extremely useful for anyone looking for new tips and tricks for grading. The panel will be comprised of a faculty host and a number of experienced TAs.
