Support for Indigenous students

UNBC urges each Indigenous student to reach out to your Aboriginal Education Coordinator or the point person within your community and plan ahead in the event that your Band office closes down in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you are a returning student, please make sure there is a plan in place for your education. Share this information with your friends and roommates as it is important for everyone to stay informed.

If you need assistance, please contact Bev Best, Manager of the First Nations Centre, at bev.best@unbc.ca.

Students in need of assistance regarding Government/Band funding can get in touch with Roxanne Umpherville, UNBC Aboriginal Student Life Navigator at roxanne.umpherville@unbc.ca.
